At the Start

This is the closest I have to a "before" picture... as in "before" I went off sugar in October 2001.  This picture was taken in early December 2000, at my father's funeral.  (Click HERE.)


On October 9, 2001, I gave up refined sugars and sweets.

This picture was taken December 2006, after losing almost 90 pounds.


Then, while I was in school (from fall of 2007 to fall of 2010) I started eating "on the run" and eating processed foods, I gained over 30 pounds back!  

Here I am last summer (June 2010).  I think I gained another 10 pounds the months following this photo, but this is the closet I can find for a "before" picture for starting My Healthy Eating Challenge (January 2011).  If I find a picture taken closer to January, I will post it later.




Weight changes since starting My Healthy Eating Challenge:

January 1 weigh-in: Want to lose 35 pounds.

January 15 weigh-in:  8.5 pounds lost.  26.5 pounds to go.  (8.5 pounds lost so far!)

January 31 weigh-in:  2.5 pounds lost.  24.0 pounds to go.  (11 pounds lost so far!)

February 14 weigh-in: 4.5 pounds lost.  19.5 pounds to go.  (15.5 pounds lost so far!)

March 1 weigh-in: 3 pounds lost.  16.5 pounds to go.  (18.5 pounds lost so far!)

April 1 weigh-in: 3 pounds lost.  13.5 pounds to go.  (21.5 pounds lost so far!)

May 2 weigh-in: 2 pounds lost.  11.5 pounds to go.  (23.5 pounds lost so far!)

June 2 weigh-in: 1 pound gained.  12.5 pounds to go.  (22.5 pounds lost so far!)

July 4 weigh-in: 3 pounds lost.  9.5 pounds to go.  (25.5 pounds lost so far!)

Sep 30 weigh-in: 2.5 pounds gained.  12 pounds to go. (23 pounds lost so far!)

Oct. 15 weigh-in: 4.5 pounds lost.  7.5 pounds to go.  (27.5 pounds lost so far!)
