Quirky eating habits.

My dad used to recite a little rhyme:

I eat my peas with honey;
I've done it all my life.
It makes the peas taste funny,
But it keeps them on my knife!

I've been thinking about quirky eating habits.  Here's some of mine (and I'll probably think of more later).
I polish my grapes.  I eat one at a time, after rubbing it on a paper towel or napkin.

When eating yogurt or applesauce, I insist on using a plastic spoon.

I like cold-cold-cold milk, so even if my husband gets the milk out, pours a glass, and then sets the carton on the counter, I put it back in the fridge for a while before I get some for myself.

We're all strange little ducks...so fess up...what are your quirky eating habits?

  1. Oh it's ironic that you write this post. Last week I was telling someone I have some quirky eating habits too. I like to put my glass or water or milk in the freezer and turn the timer on for 30 minutes. I put my yogurt in the freezer for about an hour to form little cold spots in it. I don't like it completely frozen, just partway. I like to drink coffee through a stick of licorice ~ it makes the licorice soft and yummy. I like salt on some of my fruit. I have other quirks but I can't think of them right now. Will get back to you on this!

    1. Thanks for commenting! It made me smile... somehow the world feels like a better place knowing we all have our quirks! (Also, thanks for the idea... I might put my milk in the freezer and set the timer!)

      By the way, Susan, I haven't seen a new post on your blogs for a long time. Are you busy with your creative writing class?
